True Puppy Love

In honor of our dear Ella turning three today, I thought I'd write a bit about Puppy Love. And about how everyone needs a little Puppy Love in their life. Especially every Little One. My Little One absolutely adores our puppy Ella. He loves to chase her around the house, play tug-o-war with her, pet her (or pull on her fur, depending on how he's feeling), roll around with her, watch her through his window and of course, he also just loves to love her.

Our beautiful Dog of Honor. :)

And Ella, like most every dog, just loves him right back. She plays with him, puts up with him, sometimes runs from him, but all in all, they are great little friends. And I really love how patient she is with Reece. When he pulls her hair or tail, or sticks a finger in her eye or mouth, she either just allows him to finish what he's doing, or just licks his hand. Imagine your hair getting pulled by a baby and instead of screaming or raising a fuss, you just kiss the baby. That's Ella. That's Puppy Love. And it just makes sense that two of Reece's first words were "dog" and "Ella". (Or first it was "La-la".)

Peeking on the couch at the baby. :)
Petting, pulling and loving. That's their Game of Love.

Always together. Well, together a lot. Ella does like her
downtime. Plus, she needs time for her hair to grow
back. After being pulled out by little hands.
"Play with me? Please?!?"
Our Beautiful Ella. Or our Nana. Just like in Peter Pan. :)
Both playing with the shark.
Both tongues are sticking out. What a pair. :)
I just love this little dog. No dog could be better.

Sweet Puppy Kisses.

Our little Fam. Complete with an Ella yawn.

Ella is just so special. She leaves paw prints on your heart. :)
Ella is usually always close by to wherever
Reece is. And that's what I call True Puppy Love.
Ella and Reece just hanging out. (Even though Ella looks
more like a dog ghost in this picture than a dog companion.)

But I hope everyone has some true Puppy Love in their life. There's just nothing quite like it.

A Mother's Love

On Mother's Day I thought I'd take a moment and reflect on my life once my Little One became a part of it.  I loved my little guy from when he started growing in my tummy, but nothing prepared me for the love of actually seeing him, holding him, living each day with him. The love that encompassed me was incredibly strong. Incredibly true. Just so much love. And I've loved every single moment I've shared with him. Every smile, every tear, every laugh, every step, every milestone, even every diaper (sometimes hahaa), just everything that makes me the proudest mother that ever was. And it's really not hard to be proud when you have an absolutely perfect Little One. Really really not.

And maybe I'll also reflect through pictures. Here are some of (or probably a ton of) pictures of me and my Little One, after my life became perfect. All because of him. :)

Our first picture together! :)
One day old and he's still perfection.

I just love my Little One more than anything. And he'll never know just how happy I am to be his mother. Because there are just not enough words to explain to him how much he means to me. Or how much he'll ever mean to me. You just can't explain something that is beyond perfect. :) Nor can you explain to a child how he has changed your world forever.

It's crazy and beautiful how one little life changed my entire life, my entire being, my entire forever in one little moment. The moment he was born.
